Sammy on the tour delay

I don't know who runs the myspace site for Sammy, but bulletins often get sent out that would make one believe they were from him. This one was sent out a few minutes ago.

Sammy Hagar and the Wabo's Myspace:
"Heard from some friend's in Detroit that the reason why the "Reunion" tour is off is because David Lee Roth want's Mikey on the bass to do the tour."

This was already in another thread, but even still, I would believe it more if Sammy said he was sitting next to Mike when Dave called him on his cell to ask him to come join them.

As we have learned in the last 28 years, Van Halen and the word "sources" are like oil and water, they just don't jive.

Well, that would be great, and it would be great if DLR could take control of the band as a leader (read: "steer the ship through the mines, reefs, and rocks") as he was back in the day, but I highly doubt the bros. VH would let that happen...

There's two actually, one for the red rocker and one for with the wabo's. they both sent out the same bulletin this morning about Sammy's Nascar plans for this weekend, and they seemed to be written by him, or at least by his people....though it could have been a cut & paste from his regular site...I didn't bother to check

yeah, i kind of doubt that getting mike onboard would be a deal-breaker for dave...

i can see dave suggesting it, from a "this would be good for business" point of view, but i don't know that he would harp on it... what i could see, maybe, is dave suggesting it and ed going ballistic after an alcoholic binge, but i think that dave would've treaded lightly and not want to miss out on the big payday...

not only that, but dave is a smart man. if he wanted to make this play, he'd have done it before he did interviews, publicity photos, and official announcements.
