How official and how did he get it????

Just curious if anyone knows how official the VH site is. Some bands have "official" sites but rarely have any input in it. Also, how did Brad get the Gig?

Brad ran a site about 5 years ago called the Van Halen Encylopedia, it was a very good site. I'll bet the band approached him after they saw it, at the time, it was easily the best VH site around, the internet was very new.

Now the internet is not so new and the official VH site sucks IMO. Though at least Brad has had the very original idea of adding a UBB message board . Lets all rush over there and discuss the latest Wolfgang report

If so, you never know Brett.....VH could get in a disagreement with Brad, he'll quit or get fired(depending on who you believe) and the search for a new Webmaster will begin

I don't think Brad has any direct contact with the band. I'll bet he has a lot of contact with Scotty Ross however. I'd be a little afraid to be the official webmaster, you guys would all beat me up.

Brad has direct contact with at least Scotty Ross and has been to 5150 several times. He did a making of III there, that was posted in early 98 if I remember right, it might still be on the site somewhere. He has mentioned speaking to Mikey on the phone, etc. He has contact, I just don'th think it is everyday

I find Brads' "they keep me in the dark" really annoying. We're all adults here, just tell the truth; "of course I know, but as an employee of Van Halen I'm not at liberty to disclose any information without the bands prior consent". I could respect a statement like that.

When the 'VH are recording in New York' rumour happened a few months ago, Brad quite plainly (and smugly) stated that he had talked to both Mike and Alex that week who weren't in New York.

The internet is a major source of information these days. Assuming VH does have something planned, they'd be insane to leave their official webmaster in the dark....oh wait, they are insane....sorry
