A Remastered Roth
FYI from Billboard
" David Lee Roth has certainly come full circle. The rock star-turned EMS technician-turned syndicated morning radio host is now re-connecting with most of the original Van Halen lineup for a reunion tour, planned later this year. This will be preceded by three remastered reissues from Roth's Warner Brothers catalog, (Inside) track has learned. On April 3, Ryko-distributed label Friday Music (friday-music.com) will issue " A Little Ain't Enough" (1991), "Your Filthy LIttle Mouth" (1994) and the highly collectable "Sonrisa Salvaje", which is the "Eat 'Em and Smile" (1986) sung in Spanish.

Warner was supposed to re-issue Dave's GH when he was doing his radio gig but when the show went under they backed off. I wonder with the tour "on hold" how this will be affected.

I thought "A Little Ain't Enough" was a great rock n' roll album.

i'm actually excited to get a legit, bonafide copy of "sonrisa salvaje"! eBay prices for it just go way too high for it...

i feel a
coming on
I used to wonder why he was grinning all the time(Michael Ian Black talkin about EVH on VH1 I love the 80's) but then i realized the reason he's grinning is because he's Eddie F*#king Van Halen

I must say it'd be pretty cool to get a copy of Sonrisa Salvaje on CD. I'd pick that up for sure...
“And what we have at our fingertips is arguably one of the greatest high tenor voices ever – that was in Michael Anthony. In our tiny little corner of the universe, that voice is as identifiable as the high voice in Earth, Wind & Fire, as identifiable as the high voice in the Beach Boys. Van Halen is an indelicate house blend of both – that’s intentionally. So I would always look forward to that reunion.” - David Lee Roth

Weird choice of albums to put any effort into remastering and releasing again if they go forward with that plan after today's tour crash n' burn.
Actually, they could fit both the English and Spanish language versions of EEAS on one cd with room to spare. As it stands, it's going to have a very limited appeal.

Eat Us And Smile
Welcome back, Van HALEN!!!!
...It's the BAND and Dave is really the cat that can front VH. He sang his ASS off and was really cool. No cheese here guys, this is filet Mignon! - Steve Lukather's comment after witnessing a Van HALEN 2007 rehearsal

Yep.
Purple spandex and spanish.
Sign me up.
Why remaster ALAE and YFLM? Two or three good songs on one, only one decent song on the other.
The sound quailty was ok on both of them.
MOST of the songs sucked, but remastering can't help that."Never is just reven spelled backwards." -House

Beard Combover
I don't care who you are, those Yankees Rose outfits are hands-down
the worst ever in all of RnR history. Worse than Poison, worse than Twisted
Sister, worse than disco Kiss. I guess we might have seen the clues back
then that all of these guys' decision-making abilities were questionable
at the very least.Last edited by mistere; 02.20.07 at 11:43 PM.

I'm not totally defending Dave or dissing Van Hagar but it was the 80's. Imo what was worse, a lot worse was the way Van Hagar all huged eachother and then like struted around the stage in a row flexing their arms like a bunch of twirps in Live withought a Net or whatever. That was around the same time. What Dave was wearing wasn't much of a stretch compared to what we had worn in the past with VH imo.

SOME VH LINKS CLASSICS
"Sammy is fat, Dave is bald, Mike is next in line to be the Pope, Eddie is a drunk, Wolfie is fat, Gary is gay, CVH is VH, Mike is VH, Sammy can outsing Dave on a tequilla hangover, Eddie is a meth head, How Many Say I is the worst VH song ever, Up for Breakfast is a close second, Dave was horrible at radio and everybody hates the assless chaps.
Ok I think that covers everything." Ziggysmalls
"I sense that some of our newer passengers may be nervous due to the sudden turbulence. Please be seated, this is simply a normal part of the periodic ride.
I didn't say we'll get to the destination, but until Alex comes out a says what a complete waste of carbon DLR is, we're still climbing, so strap yourselves in.
Those of you who have been on this ride before, the hottie in the mini will be around shortly with your drinks......." Red

Great... Warner is remastering and reissuing Dave's solo stuff and we are all sitting here wondering why the tour..no tour...debacle is being debated.
Just great, Mike can't sell sauce, Sam can't sell Tequila, but Dave can sell albums. I don't think so.
