Default Poll: Would You Want Again, The Return Of Mach III?

Assuming that the tour is off, how many people would want the return of Cherone?

He's the only singer that Ed seemed to genuinely get along with; in his natural form (without being dictated as to how to sing - in other words, his performance outside of Van Halen), he sounds great; and he arguably worked harder than any other singer fronting Van Halen.

Would you want the return of Mach III?

if they got along so well, then why didn't that second album with him get finished and released? gary basically got tired of being dictated to but is too much of a gentleman to air out dirty laundry in the press... want to hear something that knocks the socks off of '3'? try gary's 'tribe of judah' cd, 'exit elvis'...

people want to see dave one last time... they got to do that with sammy, now they want dave... gary's a good guy, but only a placeholder in vh history... lest we forget how his part of that history was treated on the listed discography on bobw...

Not just no, but HELL no. And I think Cherone would give you the same answer.

It's irrelevant anyway, because IF this Clear Channel story is confirmed and the tour is off, then that is the final end of Van Halen.

No, not just Van HALEN. Any band using the name. Because nobody would dare afford them an ounce of credibility after this.

If this tour is over, then the band is over. Period.

Not that I buy this shit, just sayin that Cherone, Hagar, Cornell, Bono, or Jesus Christ himself wouldn't be able to save Eddie's ass if he let this fall apart.
    Eat Us And Smile

    Welcome back, Van HALEN!!!!

...It's the BAND and Dave is really the cat that can front VH. He sang his ASS off and was really cool. No cheese here guys, this is filet Mignon! - Steve Lukather's comment after witnessing a Van HALEN 2007 rehearsal

I said yes. It wouldn't hurt, plus I always liked VH fronted by Gary (well, in a live setting) so I wouldn't mind it.

But I know I'm the minority. I was too young for the trainwreck, I guess.

I used to wonder why he was grinning all the time(Michael Ian Black talkin about EVH on VH1 I love the 80's) but then i realized the reason he's grinning is because he's Eddie F*#king Van Halen

No. Ed can't play like he did on that tour, so why go back. No.

If this doesn't work out, Van Halen are OVER.

    Agreed.

VH would be lucky to be booked in the casino circuit should this fall apart.

Yeah I would. But only under this perfect scenario: VH appears with DLR, then after that can him, and make another announcement that Eddie has rediscovered his soul mate Gary Cherone and then proceeded to tour with him.

Would be funny to go to the army after that.

    He already has

Regarding the tour, it's only a hunch, but it'd make sense that Fender would want a tour out of EVH, to promote their guitar.
