i did not make the story up about van halen, i also said that it could be bs, and i guess it is. i just thought that i would put the story that i read there here so you could judge for yourself.
i guess i did not take the time to really take a good look at that story to see that it came from the message board. i guess you can not trust anything you read at a message board.

Joe I fell for the same crap on another message board and should have done my homework before posting anything last night. Someone posted that Sam was back with Van Halen and some of the regulars from the newsgroup were confirming they saw the story on VH1 and CNN. It turned out to be some dumb ass with a bogus account that was using peoples names from that particular NG to try and give the BS some validity. I guess the blood staring pumping a little too hard and instead of using my brain I took the story to be true even though I couln't find anything official on any site. Some people just have too much time on there hands.

That guy Bach1 on the VH1 boards has still recently been re-asserting what he claimed about Sammy and VH. He replied to another post that said VH was over and said:

I'm sorry guys, I'm going to go out on a limb and say this guy knows something. It make total sense for two reasons.

1. The divorce situation with Eddie has been going on for 1 year, and he is probably in a situation to get back to playing. People are suggesting he is devastated, but I think he isn't,(at least anymore), because of the professional & intelligent way Valerie & Ed handled the separation.

2. If he is ready to paly, who would he play with?...Sammy is really the only logical answer because of the following:

a)Mike's playing with him (THE Major Clue)

b) The Dave thing has already fallen apart over money and Dave has made statements that his band is continuing on by themselves.

c) We would of heard rumours of a new singer going to 5150 by now, and we haven't

These things aren't THAT complicated if you look really deeply. I believe Sammy is back. I'd rather have Dave, but I'll take Sammy as a 2nd choice.

I hear what you're saying Subway but all we can do is speculate. Maybe Mike jamming with Sammy is simple case of Mike not having anything better going on ie-Van Halen. The way I see the situation is Ed is really limited as to what he can do with Van Halen. He knows the fans will almost certainly diss a 4th vocalist and that means no commercial success. The choices left therefore are Dave and Sam and even in that scenario some of the fans are going to be pissed. Who fuckin knows anymore?
I really thought this year was make or break for Van Halen and now we're hearing 2003. I guess we just keep on waiting and see what happens.

not to keep this going but after i went back to the vh1 message board and someone asked him how he knew this, and he said it came from a close friend of eddie and sammy. but that is bs to i'm guessing.
but i guess until we hear from vh then we will know. so thank you guys for understanding.

Sammy has said that all Eddie needs to do is call and apoligize.
But Sammy also said that he would have to see if he could Be friends first.......But When Money is talking.....You can become friends really quick..
....Take Sam and dave for instance.

I did hear from a friend that the opening night of the next leg of the tour was cancelled, and another one is scheduled.

Anyone else hear this?

I don't see any harm done. We all want Van Halen back out there and sometimes we have a tendency to jump the gun, based on what we read or hear. As strange as it sounds, it could still happen. As long as everybody in the band is alive and kicking who can say what will happen over time.
I think sammy's got the best shot at this point.
