...about the band. Lifted it from the VHML:

Take all of these with a grain of salt:

- Derek Sherinian (Yngwie Malmsteen, Billy Idol) and Thom Gimbel (Aerosmith, Foreigner) have been contacted to play keyboards on the tour this summer.

- Supposedly, Dave has only had one actual rehearsal with the Van Halen clan so far.

- The tour will run on a three day on, three day off schedule, with Wolfie flying back to Los Angeles on the off days. Valerie will be with Wolfie on the tour, ala 2004.

- Several attempts were made to get Michael Anthony on board with the idea that Wolfie would play part of the show with him in order to cut back on what is being seen as fan backlash, but Eddie will have nothing to do with him.

- There will be no performance at the Hall Of Fame, despite attempts by Hagar to work out an agreement to do one song with each singer.

- The new "Best Of" disc has been delayed due to Eddie finding out that several cover songs off Diver Down were being included that he doesn't like.

- Kid Rock will be inducting them into the Hall Of Fame.

- All tour merchandising will feature the "Van Halen/Van Halen II" logo, to differentiate it from the Sammy-era "circle logo" that has been used in recent years.

- Supposedly a 20-30 minute film is being produced by Eddie's "new friends" using classic VH footage that will play before the band comes onstage for the shows.

- A survey is being sent out to people who ordered five-star packages on the last tour to see how much they are willing to spend on tickets for this tour.

I buy it. I hope they don't do 5 Star packages cause that's gonna make my life a LIVING HELL when they go on sale!!!

As excited as I am about VH & Roth getting back together, I'm still considering attending the concert wearing:

1. Anything Van Hagar or CWT related
2. Anything related to Mike's website (or, even a "Other Half" shirt)

I have a serious question.

I saw two shows in 2004. Maybe I was in the bathroom, or sleeping or something, but when exactly did Sam and Mike hawk their shit at the shows? When did they even talk about it? Fuck when did Mike even talk except to sing?

Did they have their stuff at the concession stands??? You can't sell alcohol at them and I don't remember Mike's sauce there.

I never understood what Eddie was talking about with them selling their shit. When was that?

I'm with ya - I saw them here in Chi-town and never heard word one about it. I was referencing something I read here earlier today in another thread where Ed mentioned it. He also mentioned about how "Mike went and played with Hagar" - which I was referencing also.

What the fuck happened to Ed? When did he become such a complete asshole? Did he fall and hit his head or something? I used to think Roth was the egomaniac but now I see who the real egomaniac is. Roth is just a showman and nothing more. Harmless. I just don't get it.

I've listened to at least 40 boots on the tour, and I never once heard them hawking their shit.

As insane as it sounds, Ed was probably talking about the tequila pimping and hot sauce advertising inside the fan base. Yeah, Ed can sell 25k guitars but Mike & Sam can't sell their products outside of shows. Bullshit.

As insane as it sounds, its probably what he meant, knowing Ed.
