Let's all agree on 1 thing .we can't turn back the clock.Its not 1978,or 1984.This version of Vanhalen is whats going on right now.I myself Have learned to accept what I cant really change.I am a huge VH fan and many other bands as well.

I'd love to see Led Zeppelin ....But lets face it that will never happen
I'd love to see Stevie ray vaughn ...That wont happen..

My point is ???? I will see Van Halen This summer (hopefully)
Because You just don't know whats going to happen next.
Any version of the band , Sammy ,dave,mike ,no mike,Im there.
Anyone who is a true fan will understand this .

I here all the negative BS .Ticket prices,or the band looks old (no shit they are in their 50's) Edds a jerk or dave this or that ...come on..
How about a chance to see your guitar Idol once again.
A chance to see the next vanhalen generation perform.
To see the Dave Roth circus on stage.....Awsome

Focus on the positives....Personally I can't wait .....

I hear ya, and can agree with most of what you said, but here is the thing you and some of the "others" need to understand.

I saw my guitar hero in 2004. And my hero was a sloppy, messy, totally fucked up, drunk and with a attitude to boot. So, I guess you can say that my hero let me down............

You guys seem to forget, until Ed comes to terms with himself and faces his demons like a man, Ed is and will shit on you all. Ed has pulled the wool over my eyes for the last 10 years or so, but I elect not to let him do it again. I've stood by this hero for as long as I can remember, I've heard and read all the stories, I've followed his train of thought and even placed myself in his mental shoes, so I could understand where he was coming from..........and I found out that the path Ed walks, is full of uneven ground and jagged rocks.

I love my boy Ed. I wish him the best, but I cannot listen to anymore of his bullshit, follow his train of thought, all the while he tips the "Loon" back that we all helped buy for him. Ed is lost, and there is nothing we can do to find him...............

Van Halen: Mikey is ALIVE! He's down the road.

But I tend to agree with what your saying.

If Roth was coming to Toronto with his solo band...I'd be the first person in line for tickets. Ed and Al are just a bonus for me. Wolfie...it's just cool to see him play with Dad.

It's Van Halen 2.0...if their trying to pass it off as classic Van Halen...I'll lose ALL my respect I have for them. But on the main site it says that, Roth is reuniting with Alex and Eddie.

I just wish they came out with a new album before the tour so at least they could market this as the Next Generation of Van Halen.
