Starting to take Dave's side to 96'

After rereading Dave's open apology at www.vhnd.com
and VH's statement,
I think that Eddie and the boys "used" Dave to add a couple of new songs so the record will sell. Sammy wasn't interested so they brought Dave in knowing damn well that Gary was the man for the next new album and that Dave will do something to make him look foolish and I think that the mtv thing was a set up for Dave to do just that and thats why mtv is trashing Van Halen with things like the coverdale shit and the latest slam at the mtv awards show.
I believe that it is Eddie that needs to grow-up more than Dave and maybe he finally did?
If you know my track record, I really haven't come down hard on Mr. Van Halen at all and was first a Sammy supporter and Dave, I could take or leave. But now after the dust settled and I can look back on it all, it seems that the only person we have to blame for what has happend to Van Halen the past 4 years is its leader.

Please don't get this tired argument going again!!! Don't get me wrong, I respect your position but something like this leads to "Eddie Lied" followed by "Dave's bald and he acted out of line that night". It's so fucking tired. No more, it's four years old. So many people are convinced that they know what really happened when only one does (Georgie) and that's because he was actually there. Which gives him an edge over everybody, IMO.
