They started running promos for the vh tour on the wrif website , check it out pretty cool , but its kinda odd we have not heard anything from vh themselves about the tour, are the wheels already falling off this ridiculous ride?

I'd hope they are planning a media blitz to coincide with the RRHOF appearance and build on lots more PR from that point in time. Same kind of thing the Police did after the Grammy appearance.

If they dont someone needs kick in the ass!

They are going to have a press conf. soon! Then we will know the tour dates! No the wheels didn't fall off!

I assume they will have the press conference right before or after the RRHOF induction. I assume they are getting into shape, growing/extending hair before any photos are taken.

Where'd y'all hear about this press conference? I didn't see anything about it on the site.

A saturation of media following the RRHoF ceremony would be the most wise move to start promoting the tour. VH has fallen a little short on such things in the recent past, though, so we'll see how well they do at it this time around.

The Detroit show goes on sale February 24th. Radio spots in Detroit will start airing next week promoting the sale. The date of the concert is TBD (or not known by anyone I work with). The weird thing is that as of now it's scheduled to be at DTE Energy Theater (Pine Knob) as opposed to an indoor venue. If that's the case, it probably means VH won't be rolling into Detroit until, at least, Mid May-Early June.

im a season ticket holder at dte(pine knob). i just spoke to my sales rep out there, she says thay are coming for shure to dte. she doesnt have a firm date yet or when tickets go on sale.

I just hope they are working on the songs for the tour. I want them to sound they way they did in 1984. The last thing I want is for them to come out looking like they did in 1984 in 2007.

I don't see that as weird since they said it was a 40 date ampitheater tour.

by playing pine knob they pretty much ensure a sell out, Sam sold it out last year and the year before and the year before...well you get the point. I've seen VH 3 or 4 times there and they've always been great shows. on the 04 tour they did a show at Cobo and then one the next day at the palace and I think both were sold out or close to it, VH, in any form is gigantic in the detroit area.
