Default How bout a European Tour???

Any news, rumours, inside information or suggestions of a European tour?

All's good and well with a North American tour but there are still many European die hards that would like to see their band live (even without Mikey).

I'd love them to come over, but chances are slim I'd say.

Rumors has it that they were invited from promoters of the Monsters of Rock 2007 but VH asked 1 mio $ and that was refused.
Also, I heard that VH was asking 850.00 for a "normal" gig. That's also too much I think for a European Tour, because they never had the status they had in the US, and it's very unlikely they'd get enough people into the seats to break even for the promoters.

I suppose they can swallow their pride and do smaller venues, but then again knowing their egos that's next to impossible.

One million dollars???? Do they still think this is the 80's.

Anyway, I'll enjoy the Iron Maiden concert in Belgrade next month.

I think with the right publicity (!!??) they could do well arena-wise in the UK. It obviously depends how things go US wise but Dave has been good to us over here so you never know.

(It would also help WVH with his geography!!!!!)

I saw something online a couple of weeks ago, and it mentioned a European tour- but it was on some gossip site- so take it for what it's worth
Wolfie is not Mike, but he's more than ok.
Mike is gone, but not forgotten. They played some amazing shows from 2007-2015; some people are in denial about it.

Yeah, chances are pretty slim. Wolfie needs to get back to school in August.

I guess we'll have to see how long Dave and Eddie can stand each other. This ought to be interesting.

VH never doing as well in Europe (opening for Bon Jovi in '95)... Eddie and Dave having to get along for that much longer... Wolfgang's school schedule... very high asking prices...

All points to "probably not" with regard to an '07 European VH tour. Fans there have had it tough. Fans in Australia, however, have probably had it the worst.

Not a massive following but i saw Van Hagar in 93 with 12,000 others at the Birmingham (UK) NEC. At that point VH hadnt had a hit album or single since WCTBL. They also sold out other large arenas on that UK tour.

It is? If that's true, I'd wait and see how long the "all's well" lasts here in America, before even considering the band heading across the pond.

I wouldn't be surprised if these guys were ready to kill each other by the time the RRHOF deal is over.

"Sammy is fat, Dave is bald, Mike is next in line to be the Pope, Eddie is a drunk, Wolfie is fat, Gary is gay, CVH is VH, Mike is VH, Sammy can outsing Dave on a tequilla hangover, Eddie is a meth head, How Many Say I is the worst VH song ever, Up for Breakfast is a close second, Dave was horrible at radio and everybody hates the assless chaps.

That's fine with me, just so long as they play two songs--one with Sam, one with Dave, and all with Mike on bass.

Damn right about Aussie. If memory serves me correctly, didn't they only make it there once, on the III Tour? Ugh, I feel bad for those guys...

Europe's had it more than once, on tours during their decadence. '84, '93, and '95. Plus, a couple shows in '98 if I'm not mistaken.
In and out. I didn't even make that pun on purpose.
