Kramer guitar neck doesn't fit my body

I just recieved my Kramer Pacer Guitar neck. However, the drilled holes on it aren't positioned as the same as my guitar body. I got the body from Unchained guitars way back in 2003. So to fix this, is it safe to drill the holes in the back of the Kramer neck so they fit that of the guitar body?

Just trying to be safe by asking the specialists.

what you have to do here is goto the local hobby\craft or home depot type store and get hardwood dowels, you want the fluted (ribbed length wise) type
you drill out the holes in you neck to fit the dowels glue and press them in with Titebond wood glue then carfully saw\file\sand them off flush to the heel of the neck.
After that you can line it up with your holes in your body. *make sure you predrill* with 1\8" bit or you'll split the heel of your your neck .
