Default Slight problem with Floyd Rose upgrade...help needed

So I dropped off my wolfgang at a luthier and he started work on the floyd rose upgrade and a problem arose. The locking nut at the top works fine, its the bridge that has the problem. The sustain block on my peavey is 1/2 inch longer than the one that's on the floyd that I ordered and there is no way for the springs to connect without the wood beneath the pickups interfering. I've had so many problems with the floyd on this wolfgang over the past 5 years Im to the point of just hacksawing the thing so the new OFR will fit. Has anyone else had an experience like this? Any ideas on what to do?

well you can get a longer sustain block you'll have to take apart the Floyd but it's really really simple and the blocks just screw on, try www.stewmac.com they have dimentions on everything .
Or if you want to retro your guitar you can bevel the wood under the springs. I have done both many times and it's all just a preferance. btw what wolfie is it ? a spec, standard or
    Korean ?

I sent you some private emails on where to find a trem block,
but since I'm here and if you havn't seen them yet if you still have your old Peavey floyd just switch out the block from it, it should fit just the same.
if you don't have it you can get several different length blocks at the link below, these should also fit but there are soo many different makers of licenced stuff you should call and ask.

I was gonna say the same thing. The original brass trem block from the Peavey should (hopefully) fit. There's just three screws on the top of the main bridge plate (under the saddles) the holds the trem block on.
