What's next for Mike?
The guy has talent. He is known. He is liked.
I think it would be a riot for him to go on the next "Rockstar" show as the bass player for the next band they put together.
He can get a lot of exposure, some more cash, jam with some other talented guys and likely wind up with some decent success. When not on that show, he could tour w/ The Other Half.
I can see the lineup....
Nuno on guitar
Mike on bass
?????? on drums?Winners come and go; legends are forever.

He could be Wolfies sound man and assistant for the tour. He could tune his base and give him fresh towels between songs.

nuno's busy with perry farrell in a new project (satellite party? not sure of the name... nuno's latest solo project is dramagods)...
How about this as a twisted amalgamation of VH-related musicians (Mangini is a stretch; he's a session player who's played with both Vai and in Extreme):
Mike Anthony on Bass
Gary Cherone on Vox
Steve Vai on Guitar
Mike Mangini on Drums

I have a feeling Mike is going to be Rudy Sarzo. A guy who plays with various groups but will never be a steady fixture in any band. One thing is for sure, Mona better start checking her food.

To the thread question, he'll probably "sit in" once in awhile, he may do some session work here and there, he may even be part of a "supergroup" project, but I bet if he wants, he could sit on his ass and watch Bob Barker retire and not one check would ever bounce.....
And he's earned that right, Ed never gave him anything he didn't earn.

I think this power trio thing with Chad could be pretty cool. No keys, three piece, Anthony backing vocals...if Sam puts out some hard hitting lyrics, gets back to some hard red rocking instead of the Buffet-Cabo beach vibe, this could be good.
But they GOTTA change the name. Chickenfoot ain't gonna sell a CD.
