New?
I've seen and witnessed a bi-polar shift on this site --both from the sarcasm and on the opposite side of the spectrum, yearning for truth. This has encouraged me to continue to post what I know - even if what I know may not yet be fully realized or 'actioned on' yet. Regardless, you can trust in the fact that what I'm talking about is ' in play '.
Following along those lines I think it's timely to admit that I was with two current members of the band during the first week of January and also two days this past December. Three other 'outsiders' were in the party on the most recent occasion. When I say outsiders I mean people that were invited to the venue and they were people I had never met before. Although I had never met the outsiders before, one was readily recognizable to anyone familiar with the recording industry and has been known for his 'rehabilitation' projects in the past.
In January, I heard 8 recording playbacks over the course of about 2 hours during the time I was on-site. The playbacks were different versions of 3 different songs; or at least what I believed to be 3 different songs. DLR vocals featured on all recordings. Both current band members sought the advice or feedback from everyone in the room. I can say that everyone in the room - save the band members - agreed on the best takes of each song!
I sincerely hope these tracks make it either via some special release leading up to the tour or perhaps on the upcoming 'best of'. As I've stated before, I really don't know what or how they will be handled but they deserve to be in the public domain ASAP. I'm sorry if this comes across as 'cryptic' but you guys need to know that new stuff is and has been completed and hopefully on the way to being released.

Welcome back, Van HALEN!!!!
...It's the BAND and Dave is really the cat that can front VH. He sang his ASS off and was really cool. No cheese here guys, this is filet Mignon! - Steve Lukather's comment after witnessing a Van HALEN 2007 rehearsal

Funny that his user name is taken from another band's name. I wonder if he posts at The Mommas and The Poppas forums?

Well, to be honest, it's a mixed reaction. Maybe we should discuss this in more detail off line, feel free to PM me.

You know what, these BS "insider" threads chap my ass sometimes. We've tolerated so much of that crap over the years...
So, how about we try this...No one outside of this community seriously cares about VH anymore. If you have something legit to share, don't bait the fans, who share varying degrees of disappointment over the deconstruction of a once-great band...
Use names or keep it to yourself...
