Regular Windows PC X Apple

Hey guys,

I'm thinking about changing my PC... and I came up with the idea to swap it for an Apple.

Does anyone has any kind of tips, concerns regarding this issue?

I wanted to know about programs (if apple users lack lots of them), connectivity, use of P2P programs, if it allows you to build a media center an hook it up in your home-theater system.

Anyaway... I need info so I can decide if I change my world or not???

I have both and MAC is the way to go trust me….

My Mac G5 has only crashed 1 in 2 years! Amazing Machine

Go for it. It has all the software you would ever need. It connects to everything.

Plus, if there is some obscure piece of software that only runs on Windoze (like some games), you can use virtualization software like parallels, or even just dual boot.

You won't regret switching.

I like to think I know a little about Macs. - I worked as a certified Mac technician the past 5 years. Before you go to an Apple store I suggest you try to find somebody who's already a Mac user and objective. I love Macs but I wouldn't necessarily recommend everybody buy one. There are pros & cons to switching to a Mac. A good place to start is Apple discussion forms. Try to find other Mac switchers and see what their experiences have been.

I love my mac book.....I've only had one issue with it. I recently needed a firmware update to keep it from shutting down all the time. The Apple Tech told me that this was a problem with several macbooks. Mine was thinking that it was getting to hot to operate. So, it would just shut down. He updated the firmware and the problem has vanished.

I love my mac...I use it for a lot of video editing.
