Since Fair Warning, if you count Ed trying to out him during recording sessions.

If you want the consistent childish hatred and disdain, I would say RHRN Tour. Thats just a guess, because in Sam's book, things started getting bad in mid '94. But again, its just a guess.
In and out. I didn't even make that pun on purpose.

Probably ever since Ed found out Mikey had a bigger dick than him...

Another shot in that video shows Mike supposedly thinking of a solo project, and then everyone in the band literally walks away from him.

    Kinda funny.

    Actually, not.

prolly sometime around fair warning would be my guess...Eddie has absolutely the worst timing in the history of mankind, first the Roth atomic bomb to Cherone thing, now this...my did I pick the right decade to become a Van Halen fan...Seriously here is my list of Van Halen related news since I bought my first Van Halen cd...

    1) Gary Cherone and Van Halen have parted ways
    2) Eddie Van Halen has tongue cancer
    3) Sammy rejoins for 3 new tunes and tour
    4) David Lee Roth rejoins for no new music and summer tour
    5) Micheal Anthony is replaced by someone who isnt even legal to vote
    6) Best of Both Worlds is released

Thats it! Since 1999, when I feel like I became a fan this band and Eddie Van Halen in particular have done nothing but shit in my direction...thanks assholes

Ed's disgruntlement with Mike first started appearing in interviews around Fair Warning (but he's was pissed at everyone then), and then there was the 'long lost interview' that appeared in, I think, Guitar World last year that had him dissing Mike's contributions, and this was during Diver Down. Then I have an interview from around 5150 where he broke down the songwriting process as, he writes the music, Sam writes the lyrics, Al names it, and Mike goes to Disneyland. He was saying it in a joking manner, but I think it's pretty obvious the truth about his feelings toward Mike were there. However, I can't imagine in a million years that Mike would have ever been given the opportunity to present anything he'd written anyway. I'm sure a conversation at 5150 would have went something like this:

Mike - Hey guys. I have a couple of pieces of music I thought would be great for the new album. Can I show you?

    Ed - ?????

Al - (looking over at Ed anxiously; waiting for a response).

Mike - Well, it's no big deal. I just know Ed doesn't appreciate that I don't contribute musically to the band, so I thought I'd start trying to give a little back.

    Ed - ?????

Al - (looking over at Ed anxiously; waiting for a response).

Sam/Dave - I think we should listen. And I have a couple of musical ideas too I thought we could all hash out together.

Ed - (slowly turning his head to look at Sam/Dave) ?????

Al - (walks out of 5150 and goes for a drive).

Sam/Dave & Mike - Beer? Beer. (walks out of 5150).

Ed - Fuck, do I have to do everything myself?

Sadly, MA has been the most consistent member in giving fans access and information over the past several years.

Time has moved on and EVH has decided to allay himself with friends, family and even a patched-up old friendship. EVH & DLR go deep; it's complicated and fragile but hopefully, magical again.

I think after Sammy left in 1996. Because after Sammy left... Ed probably said, "Okay now his friend is out... We can make him do whatever we want now... You want to go with Hagar... then get the fuck out of the band!!!". I'm sure that's what happened. As Hagar as described it many times. How many times in interviews post Hagar departure 1996 this includes the Roth Reunion 1996, Cherone 1997-99... and in 2004 when Hagar came back... when did Mikey ever say anything worth a shit in an interview. Not very much. you know why! Cause he was scared to say anything.

Remember during the MTV Awards in 1996, I've seen the clip on here a few times, all Mikey said during Kurt's interview with the band after presenting, was, "We're gonna do a video for one of the songs and we'll see where that leads us." Go back and watch that video. It was like he was reading from a script. Even though it was one sentence.
My man, when you are fantasizing, don't go for attainable, you can get attainable at the local Applebee's. - Dave's Dreidel
