I would like to hear what he has to say about all of this. and also... remember when the 04 reunion happened how there were pictures of the band on the day of the announcement... so when do you think we will see new PR photos of the band?

This may be true.

It is uncharacteristic of Dave to be so quite about something he has been so vocal about for so long.

It appears clear that the prior reunions in 1996 and 2000 fell apart due at least in part to DLR's attitude. It appears that Dave is either really taking this seriously and wants to play this the right way or he really is Eddie's bitch and won't do or say anything until allowed. I hope that's not the case. What made DLR-era VH so fun was DLR's image presentation and marketing sense along with EVH's music.

Or, it is possible that DLR is still silent until the Michael Anthony thing can be worked out. If DLR says nothing about MA at all during the whole tour, then you can guess that he was contractually obligated to refrain from mentioning it. DLR may praise little Wolfie's abilities, but if he doesn't comment on MA, that would be uncharacteristic.

I hold a small little ounce of hope that VH has something big planned for their annoucement and "release." My expectations are quite low, however.

It is a safe bet there is some sort of contractual clause indicating what can and cannot be said to the media.
