The commercials all really sucked last night. I don't think there was one memorable one that is worth talking about.

Ditto. Especially that god-awful K-Fed commercial. Could that douchebag be any lamer?

I'll have to admit, I didn't watch any of the Super Bowl so I didn't see any commercials. I did hear that the commercials weren't as good as in years past. Remember the Super Bowl when the Rams played the Titans? They really sucked that year too.

I think the whole Monday morning 'water-cooler' discussions of Super Bowl ads in recent years is kinda silly. (Yet here I am talking about it, DOH!)
It's like the game is an afterthought. Oh well. I could go on and on, but....

The ONLY thing I saw last night that was even slightly funny, interesting or clever was the CBS promo for Letterman's show, with he and Oprah on the couch together.

    Now THAT was funny!

Anyone else notice this undercurrent theme of violence and outright "meanspiritedness" throughout several of the ads? Folk smacking the shit out of each other may occasionally be funny in a "Jack Ass" sort of way, yet to see it over and over again...

Come on! Those Career Builder.com videos were cool.

    The best one?

That Almond company commercial were everyone falls asleep and Robert Guillet sneaks in and trashes the office. That was fucking funny.

I liked the Beard Combover from Sierra Mist. Still makes me laff.
That and the Letterman thing. Dunno how I missed K-Fed. Maybe
cause I usually cut out to something else during the breaks.

The dumbing down of all media, appeal to the lowest common denominator...
Don't be creative, either copy someone else or "reality" TV.

Did you happen to catch the Coke commercial that was like a video game, Vice City I believe? It started off as if it were going to be a bunch of violence and then it turned out to be the exact opposite. Very nicely done.

I loved the careerbuilder.com commercials as well and I heard on the radio that people didn't care for the Chevy commercial featuring "It's Getting Hot In Here" but old men taking their clothes off and acting like beefcake make me laugh.

The Snickers commercial was the one I didn't care for. I thought it was rather insulting but that's just me.
