If these rumours about VH releasing a double cd with one disc new material, and the other a live cd of live Roth era tunes, with all the delays to 2001 now popping up, can we not have the live cd part released right now or very soon to tide us over until the full mugambi comes out??????

If we have to wait (and we do), here's a crazy idea, how about a box set.
Now why didn't I think of this before.

A box set would be great, how much do you think they would charge for something like this and how many songs would be included? I've seen quite a few box sets and some are very good and others should have just not happend.

This is a link to a thread from the 101 Forum a few months ago. I gave my ideas for the VH box set in there, just on the off chance that miracles really do happen.

it's not wise for them to shoot their load before the new material is ready.
the remasters are a cool pacifer - it'll whet the appetite of the public.

VanEdge: whet my appetite??
I have already had to upgrade from a seasfood bid, to lycra pullover and now to a deep-sea diving suit to keep the drool from saturating my clothes!!
I'm frothing at the mouth...and I don't have rabbies!!

All week I've been downloadin' unreleased Van Halen song off napster. You know These song are just the tip of the iceberg. Not only could they put out a 2-box set of live and unreleased stuff they probably could put out a 4 box. Even with their rejected stuff, VH is better than most the hard rock music out there today.

For some crazy, totally INSANE reason, this reminded me of Dave saying, and I paraphrase, "I'm going to take my clothes off now!! Does anybody want to join me in taking off their clothes??" LMAO... sorry...
Okay, uh, about the box set. I would kill to get my hands on the 45-minute thing that became 1984. But, I think that now would be a bad time to come out with a box set, because a.) we should be as rabid as possible for this new album (not like that's going to be a problem) and b.) I'm going to be sort of short on cash after I fork up for the remasters!

I agree Synth... I figure I'm gonna drop plenty of money on Sept. 19th as it is...
Well think of it...I can't very well just buy ONE or TWO of the remasters now. I gotta get them ALL!
