Sorry, but this is what it would take to get me there:

1) all 4 original members
2) Good show reviews, especially concerning EVH's drinking/playing
3) Reasonable ticket prices

Without those 3 things, I will most definately NOT be attending! Most of my Die Hard VH fan Friends feel the same way! As Fans who have seen just about every show in Phila / Jersey since Diver Down, Why fuck up a good memory???? I made that mistake in 2004! I would rather remember CVH the way I remember seeing them then!

With the state the band is now in, I really hope they do dismantle the band after this tour. Personally, I have no interest in it whatsoever unless they reconsider & bring back the real bass player.

I just hope the tour brings some sort of closure for the long time classic VH fans who've been suffering for too long. I couldn't go & enjoy myself, seeing Wolfie on stage instead of Mike would just piss me off no matter how well the band played.

No thanks. I'm pretty sure I saw my last Van Halen show already. That's sad to say, but it's reality.

I'm hoping Ed will someday prove me wrong, but I really doubt he will.

my greatest concert moments of are the early DLR tours.... but I am a believer that you can never go back. even with Mike, it would not be the same.

so without new music, I am not the concerned that it may be the last tour.
I want to keep my great memories.

I don't even have to think twice about not going. I won't be there. I simply refuse to validate EVH's decision to put his teenage kid in the band, especially the way he did it.

The only thing left for this band to do was to reunite the CVH lineup. Since they're getting inducted into the RRHOF and they're not getting any younger, it was the best possible time to do it, as there simply won't be another time. I didn't think it was too much to ask after all the garbage the fans have had to tolerate but apparently EVH doesn't really give a crap what we think. But, of course, I'm sure someone here will remind me that EVH doesn't owe us anything. No, he doesn't, but that's an explanation for his behavior, not a reasonable defense for why he's acting like a selfish, petulant ass. I won't even go into the shoddy way he treated a guy who has been loyally by his side since the Nixon administration, which is the most disgusting part of this whole fiasco.

I'm not even that demanding. All I cared about was No. 1. No, I wouldn't have been happy about Nos. 2 and 3 if the performances were sub-par or the ticket prices were high, but I wouldn't have complained because at least I would've seen the reunion and there would've been closure. Then EVH and AVH could've done whatever the hell they wanted.

Good for you. Be obtuse all you want but you're overcompensating by being so dismissive of what people like me are saying. Are you telling me you've been a member here for over a year (and perhaps lurking for longer) and have posted over 1,000 times because you were hoping for a tour like you're going to get this summer?!? Obviously, you're willing to settle for it, and that's fine for you. But I find it hard to believe you're as enthused to see what you're going to see this summer as you would be if it were the original CVH lineup. I won't even go into the fact that there won't be any new music, which is a joke, too, considering the comments by EVH over the years.
