My Van Halen Super Bowl Commercial

(Ed and Al sitting on the couch watching the Super Bowl)

ED: Man, Al, why don't they have any Schlitz Malt Liquor commercials? That shit is good.

AL: Schlitz went out of style in the 70's, Ed. No one cares.

ED: Yeah, but they've got commercials for Coke and Pizza Hut and a lot of other shit that was popular in the 70's.

AL: Well, Ed. Those companies stuck with their customers and what they were good at, you know, they're still relevant.

ED: Do you think we're still relevant, I mean, the band?

AL: Ed, I think you should call Mike.

ED: (Puzzled look on his face.)

ANNOUNCER: "Common sense. It never goes out of style."

This message brought to you by Vice President Dick Cheney and The CIA. Even they're smart enough not to fuck this one up.

I can't think of a more public fashion to announce the planned VH tour than during the Super Bowl. That would be pretty cool to see.

Mixing politics, VH, and pop culture...and successfully. Good stuff.
