We all know Mike wasn't asked to be a part of the reunion, but does anybody know if he was actually fired from VH...or did they just show up in the studio one day with another bass player?

Who is to say MA wasn't invited and just said "not interested" when asked? We still do not know if DLR quit or was fired in '85 or if Sammy quit or was fired in '96.

For all we know, Mike was probably fired in 2004 and put on contract for that tour... After that - "don't call us, we'll call you"....

nobody except the guys in the band would know. I'm sure someone on here will claim to know from one of their sources (didn't someone say a few months ago that Alex and Sammy still fax each other music, lol) but the fact of the matter is until the band are all in the same room and tell us what happened, we ain't gonna know. And to be honest, I don't care. Whatever the reason, we know the result. And no one is particuarly happy about it.

He'd do it for the fans. I don't see him not doing it if asked. Not that he should have been asked since it doesn't sound like he was fired anyway...

Well, when you're told the only way you'll be allowed to tour is by relinquishing your legal rights to ever using the band's name, I think you get a pretty good sense of what's up.
