    Default Ed's Playing in 2007

I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned this, and frankly, I don't have the time to search hundreds of threads and comments...and really don't give a shit.

    Anyways....

One would think that Ed may stay "straight/clean" in 2007 for the simple reason that Wolfgang is there. Wouldn't want to spoil the boys image of his father...
One noticeable difference between Judas Priest and Metallica...
...Judas Priest only has one gay guy in the band.

That may be the only thing that makes this tour worth seeing. If he's not......fa get about it.....

Exactly. I'm now, cautiously excited about this tour...assuming it does occur.
I know one thing, I'm getting tickets to earlier shows, just in case it falls apart.

everything happens for a reason. just like those greek sandwiches made with potato chips and eggs. I never ate one but I really enjoy turkey ones a lot more now. and every once and a while I get a rueben making the world a perfect place again. whew.
If eddie were down and out on a sidewalk playing guitar I'd be next to him with a bottle and a blanky braving the cold. I would be sucking my thumb happily making chupa chupa noises in sync with the petroglyphic sounds that came from the mighty finger tips of Edward Van Halen.

I think Eddie is in a better state of mind now than he was in 2004. He has a new line coming out along with the replicas. Seems to me there is more at stake this time around especially with the lineup change.

Actually I think it did. FRom what I understand Ed played a lot better at the shows Wolfie was at. The one's he really sucked at and was wasted, Wolfie wasn't there.

Did you see a show with Wolfie present and Ed was bad? I saw the Phoenix show and although Wolfie wasn't there Ed was dead on, played great!

YES, I saw him at the Delta center with Wolf and he was hammed. For his solo he just laid on the ground for 10 min and played horrible all night long.

Poor assumption... Wolfgang is almost 16 years old. Ed's drinking has been a family issue for more than that time. Having the kid around didn't motivate Ed to clean up... anytime in Wolf's lifetime. Couldn't do it to save his marriage with the kid around. Didn't slow him down publically during the 2004 tour...

Why would you think anything is any different now?
Woke up this mornin, got Blue Moon in your eyes...

Ed was definitely bombed at the St. Paul show in July, and Wolfgang was there. On the flip side, Ed sounded excellent at the Fargo show on Halloween (his solo was the best I've ever seen and a true inspiration), he didn't appear to be drunk, and Wolfgang was NOT at that show.
