VH Branding / Perceptions
VH's brand over time:
Roth Years: THE party band geared towards kids
Sammy Years: Mainstream Hit-makers with a broad appeal
Gary Years: Mutant brand... Never made sense
Sammy has done a great job of nurturing his Brand into an adult oriented "Party" thing while maintaining the integrity of his brand. He’s got a great niche. Sammy never “screwed it up”. Smart guy!
Roth has done a marvelous job of going from the guy you want your party to the old guy who still thinks he’s 21. Should have saved his money and retired in 1990 / moved onto new ventures. These last couple years have been more dignified, but it’ll take a while to recover from the damage he did with the 2002 tour with those outfits and wigs (even though he did perform well) He’s apparently crazy or something too.
Anthony – he’s kept his mouth shut over the years and still hangs out with Hagar, so people still like him. He’s viewed as ‘normal’ compared to Roth / Eddie.
Alex – Recluse. Nobody knows anything. Good drummer
Eddie – Guitar god… “whatever happened to him???”

I see where you are going on this. You are correct, what type of branding should we expect?
I always wished that VH would go the Jimmy Buffet route (Summer tour with beachish theme). Sammy has done this, but when you only get 800 people at a Hard Rock Cafe it isn't as spectacular.
What should be the theme this time? I'm hoping it is the summer festival feel.Right here I say....

right-here-i-say has the right idea!
i wanna see an outdoors boozed up beach party spectacular with cheeseburgers, american flags and a bunch of other crazy crap. Something right up Roth's alley...
