Anybody tried laser hair removal?

I have to shave the whole front of my neck 'cause I'm a hairy little monkey. The skin is very sensitve & my throat looks like I been in a knife fight afterwards. So I decided to do the deal. $360 for 5 treatments. Had the first one Thursday & decided I was gonna be a real man & not use the numbing gel. Dammit Mildred, what was I thinking with?!?!? About uh, 2 seconds into it I had her stop & put the numbing stuff on it. The good news, I'm already seeing results, & I realized that one of my primary defense mechanisms is to laugh as I was cackling like hen the whole time. I go back in a month for treatment #2.

I've never done it, but if I had the extra money, I would.

Would I would like to do, is take the hair from my back and chest and transplant it to my head.

Is this possible yet? Ha!

My lovely wife, being 1/2 Puerto Rican and 1/4 Italian (the other 1/4 being Irish) unfortunately began to demonstrate her heritage to a very small degree in the form of some unwanted facial hair. Although it was hardly noticable, she went ahead and had laser hair removal. It worked great; she was very happy. She has subsequently had her legs done and her arm pits -- no more leg or pit shaving for her, by God! Given her success, I have considered doing it on the back of my neck as well; it seems my receding hairline has taken up residence elsewhere.

So, from a secondhand source, it works great.

Being on the hirsute(hairy) side of things, I have thought about laser hair removal for my back and chest, but oddly enough I am pretty much bald so that makes for a cruel irony. Is it really expensive or not so bad?

Of all freakin' places that could have served as a comfort zone for discussing such things, it happens here.

It was good to read about the process and costs. My 50% Irish heritage means I tolerate alcohol well but get a little too fiesty from time to time. The 25% Lebanese, on the other hand, has meant slight patterns in darker hair on my back that seem to increase with age. I'm gonna look into it.

My hair removal plan worked very well for me and it was 100% Natural.

What's more I was not even trying to achieve hair reduction.

When I asked the Dr. what I was doing that was making my hair decrease he simply informed me too many U turns under wool blankets!

I'll answer several posts but can't quote all of them.

Cost for my neck is $360 for 5 treatments. I live in a rural area & there's only a couple places that provide it near me so not much competition price-wise. It would probably be cheaper in other areas.

This is permanent hair removal so there's no going back. Depending on results, I also have a couple of patches on my back that have the cross hair on them.

As an aside, a former co-worker mentioned that his wife had it done. We were in a bar at the time & it was noisy so I asked what area & he replies "her pits". At first it sounded like he said "her tits". HUH???
