Kind of Funny... and Sad...

how things come full circle after a while, eh? I mean, I was not alive during the Roth years and during the early Hagar era...but from what I have seen... the fans were broken up between Hagar and Roth. There were your Roth-tards and your Hagaritas. Yet all the fans still loved Ed, Al and Mike. I had not seen arguments about Ed or Mikey or Mikey and Al. It was always Dave and Sam....

NOW... things seem to changing a little bit... now instead of Dave and Sam being the main event... it is now Mikey and Ed. Dave fans and Sammy fans are agreeing that Mikey should be there for this tour with Roth. Roth fans are commending Hagar and some Sam fans have commended Roth. So it seems like the table's have turned... We actually have people joining Ed's side and people joining Mike's side...

The "nice quiet guy" Mr. Edward van Halen... is now up against the always "nice quiet guy"... Michael Anthony...

I can not believe how this band and it's fan base are falling apart, well I shouldn't say falling apart. But I just can't believe how things are getting bleaker and bleaker. Sure Ed's touring this year and he looks healthy that's GREAT.

But since this band broke onto the scene in 1978 and since Hagar jumped aboard in 1985... every VH fan had some common ground... Ed, Al and Mikey... sure there were people who loved Dave and people who loved Sammy... and they would fight... but they still were in agreeance about who VH really was... Ed, Al, and Mikey.
I just can't believe how we the fans have been turned against one another ... now there are not only Sam and Dave fans... there are now Ed-heads and Mike-sympathizers. Now the only person we can agree on is Al.

I find it funny... but before I laugh... I find it kind of sad as well...

It seems to me that no matter what faction or camp you reside in, since 1985 it just doesn't pay to be a Van Halen fan. There's just so much turmoil. Dave fans got it in 85, Sammy fans in 96, then Dave fans, than VH fans in 98, so on and so on.

It seems that every time something good happens, you get something bad that's worse than before. (Yeah, Dave might be back, well shit, looks like Mikey's been fired now).

This has to be about the worst band for soap opera BS for sure.
