I'm as disappointed as the next CVH fan that this isn't going to be a true full reunion and it does suck that MA won't be touring. I think we've all known for a long time that CVH would never truly come back. I know that I don't feel the same about VH -- or music in general -- as I did back in the great '80s and even if they did reform it simply wouldn't be the same. Too much time has passed.

Having said that, I look forward to seeing Wolfgang play. I remember the day that I heard he was born. I fell asleep, as I recall, on a Sunday night and the CNN report of his birth woke me up. I thought "Can't wait to hear *this* kid jam."

I believe that Eddie, at least in part, inherited his chops from his dad. Let us not forget that Wolfgang is a Van Halen. A *young* Van Halen. I'm willing to give new blood a chance. Being Eddie's son, he may be one of the few people that can actually talk some sense to the old man without getting his ass kicked, figuratively speaking.

Will I go to the show? Absolutely. Will it be the VH that I loved in 1984? Of course not. Sadly, that band is gone forever.

Not me. It's not going to stop me from going,but if Ed refused to do it with Mike they should have at least hired a true professional bass player. Wolfie just helps to make the whole thing Mickey Mouseish.

I do because it woke me up. I waited for it to be reported again so I could be sure of what I'd half heard.

No... I actually had hope that CVH would come back at some point. And that point was this year... however... they removed one member... and now it is not CVH. Never did I ever imagine this is how a Roth comeback would go down.

The only reason Dave is back is so that they have a selling point. Cause Wolfie, Ed and Al and some jerk off lead singer, wouldn't sell as many tickets as... Dave, Wolfie, Ed and Al! Because in the grand scheme of things to the average buyer... Mikey is just the bass player.

I don't want Wolfie there to talk sense into his daddy. that's not the bassist's job. Alex should have punched his brother in the face a long time ago and said, "Straighten up, Bro!!!". And that is another reason why Ed wants Wolfie there... because he is now in almost full control of this band.

Now to the next issue...WHO GIVES A FUCK IF WOLFIE IS TALENTED???. I'm sure the kid is good, I don't doubt that! But he does not belong in a Classic Reunion with Roth... period. If Ed wants to write a new chapter for VH that's fine... but don't tour with Roth unless your giving the total package, not 3/4.

Will I have a good time at the show with my buddies? Of course! Will it be great to see Ed and Dave on the same stage together? Absolutely. But that is all, "in the moment stuff". Right now, I am of the attitude of, "If you are gonna bring back Roth... go for broke or don't bring him back at all!".

bottom line to me is Mikey should be there if Roth is coming back! If it was some other fuck lead singer than fine, that would be the NEW Van Halen. But not Roth.

They just toured 2 years ago... it's not like it has been 10 years like it was before Sam came back.

No MA, No CVH

WVH should form his own band within his age-group or generation and compose his own music. Whether that band succeeds or fails will be their own doing and merits.

WVH is in the VH band only because of EVH's decision. EVH is the coach, team captain, president, prime minister, king, emperor, absolute ruler, etc. and whatever he decrees and commands, goes.

VH III = failed
VH IV = fail
