I wonder How Eddie will Handle the Wolfie Critics?

It will be interesting to see how Ed handles the criticism that will undoubtedly be flung at the kid. Eddie has always held that kid in such high regard you would think he was the second coming or something with all Ed's ridiculous comments about his ability etc.

As parents, we all love our kids and think they are great, but I don't ever think I have referred to my kids ability at anything as "scary"? This is just such a stupid comment, I mean the kid has been playing bass for 4 months now and I should be scared by his awesome ability?With Mikey casting quite a shadow and Ed's stupid comments, the kid doesn't have a chance.

With all Ed's insecurities about himself, you know he will have double the insecurity as the tour progresses and the Mikey signs are flailing at every stop and the newspapers are ripping this carnival act to shreds and killing the kid if for nothing else but his age and I would imagine other things as well.(see all fat kid posts/threads)

Has anyone seen a picture of Wolf lately? We already know that someone in the camp is on this board as we've definitely seen Ed do things in his video's or interviews that would seem to address us ( see the end of the Catherine video)with the big F you! My point? I wonder if Ed has read all the "Fat Kid" jokes and had the kid working out so he could go shirtless like his old man?

This is going to end badly on so many levels and is going to crash and burn and finally kill whatever is left of this band.Let the pools begin: Tour starts in June and ends in? June!

Ed will not handle it well. This is something my buddy and I were discussing last night. Inevitably there will be criticism, from the press, and at a few of the shows there will undoubtedly be reminders. Not all the shows. But a couple at least. A 'Where's Mike?" sign. A crack from some drunk in the front row. An interview backstage. Somebody wearing a Mad Anthony tee shirt. Someone making a KoolAid replacing the JD comment.

It's inevitable. It won't be frequent. But it WILL happen.

God help that poor kid if he sucks. The press will rake him, the fans even more. I can only hope Ed and Uncle Al are prepping him to have a tough skin.

It's really quite a precarious situation to put your adolescent son in, actually.

There will be critics at shows and in the press... as well as here on the boards. The kid is going to be exposed to that stuff. I feel for the kid as much as I also voice my dismay at this new vh development. It's a train wreck waiting to happen. Ed can't handle the critics and I can't imagine him being much of a rock in wolfgangs corner. And as I've said many times, I'm not spending my money on this trainwreck.
