its usually 60/40% they are honest about there opinions some are hardcore some casual, alot of em are pissed at this band

Good name for the place. But sounds like a lot of us here...and most of those comments SEEM true enough. But I don't think he was drunk. Probably just years of booze, stress, life on the road, etc.

Couldn't agree with you more. Not standing up for him, but people need to realize that Ed is human, and an alcoholic at that. The man needs rehab. Am I pissed things are the way they are ? Absolutley. Just like i'm pissed Kurt Cobain is dead, that Layne Staley is dead, and that Stone Temple Pilots broke up.

Here's my take...

I watched a lot of shit from 2004 tour....some clips, Ed was just gone.

That whole House of Petals thing was horrible.

The footage from some Elton John thing...he was weird.

And now this NAMM footage comes out.....he seems a little nervous, a bit weird, but his playing is clean for the most part....and he seemed pretty coherent

So compared to Ed a few months or even years ago....he seemed pretty sober at NAMM.....doesn't mean the Loon wasn't close by, but great to see Ed more like the Ed of circa 1995

No doubt... Ed is a little "eccentric". Nothing wrong with that... as long as the cat can play!

There is no doubt that he can play...Its the way he plays that makes a big difference. The Namm video...that is what I have seen since '79. That was not the Ed of 2004. That is the Ed that I got hooked on, the sound not the man. Its all about that tone!

it gets so bad at blabbermouth that the mod had to clean house a few months ago and lay down new posting rules... a lot of people post negative stuff on there just to be funny... most post within articles about bands they're not even interested in with a "let's start a fight" mentality, often wondering in their posts about "why is this news? this band doesn't belong on this site... i want to only read about <insert no name death metal band that draws 100 fans per show and sells as many records here>"
