I am just wondering cuz if you notice over the last several years Eddie has not done any tv appearances or interviews. I believe the last interview he did was for a Golf Magazine like maybe 2 years ago? Is it possible that having part of his tongue removed, regardless how big or small, has affected his speech?

Whoops, got cut off. Anyways, what do ya'll think? I know for a fact that Guitar World Magazine has been all over the VH camp for an interview becuase they are trying to put together a special all Van Halen issue to coincide with the 25th anniversary of their debut album, which is coming up now in February 2003! But word is the VH camp, most notably Ed, have said no to all interviews. This is a special thing, and a chance to expose VH's entire history, from the earliest club days to VH3, to a new generation. But no one is talking? Could this surgery have affected his speech, which in turn would obviosuly affect his background vocals as well... I mean, if this surgery means the dude can live, hell, I am all for it. But maybe its affected his speech and he is gun shy about speaking out in interviews now?

I talked to Eddie at the LAPD Celebrity Golf Tournament last May and there was no change in his speech. He sounded the same as he always has and had no difficulty in talking whatsoever.

This just a guess, but if he is going through a divorce or whatever, his lawyers have probably advised him not to speak to the media.

Achievements:
He sounded a little funny on VH1 recently, according to a friend who watched it.
Not to mention the dumbass was still smoking.
[ October 21, 2002, 09:16 PM: Message edited by: Pacfanweb ]I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em. -

He sounds the same, probably he just doesn't want to talk right now.
"I could call it anything, but the only word I can think of is Brown. It's just a warm sound. Warm, big, majestic" - Eddie Van Halen on his Tone
"Van Halen is definitely a ladies band, and I´ve got the Polaroids to prove it". - David Lee Roth
WOLFGANG did the IMPOSSIBLE, he brought back VAN HALEN, DEAL WITH IT.
