I'm so sure they've been sold... officially they don't go on sale until Spring 2007. NAMM is a show case to unveil new products not sell them.

They probably just took orders with $4000 deposits.

Man, when your bank account shows $5,200,000 and your Calabasas house is worth $1.9 million I don't think the Wife freaks out when you come back from a Saturday afternoon at the NAMM show with a $25,000 striped guitar.

It was pre-orders. I don't know what kind of deposite Fender required but it had to be something substantial. In theory, Ed and Fender made or at least have a guarantee of around 8 and a half million this weekend based on an average price of between 25 and 30k per guitar.

If it was pre-orders then there's probably a max order number and places like Guitar Center and other big dealers will have them on-sale for a short period of time. Dealer sales... not consumer sales.

I hope they make a version for the comon foke...maybe a frankenstrat special for about $ 800 to $1000 bucks. even the charvel models are reasonable. but $25,000 the people who are buying these guitars prob dont even play guitar..:joe

Yes, they were all sold. Dealers buy product at NAMM. These guitar were all purchased by dealers and will soon be sold to the public (although, I bet most are already spoken for). I got this info from Dave Friedman (who built EVH's rig for the last tour).
