Default Don't Scientists Watch Horror Movies Or Read Stephen King?

You know how Stephen King wipes out 90% of the Earth's population with an amped up version of the Flu? You remember thinking "I hope nobody's stupid enough to try that"? Evidently that stupid person is a scientist:

    http://www.nature.com/news/2007/0701...l/445237a.html

They reconstructed the 1918 flu virus, the one that killed 50 million people, and damn if it didn't kill all of their lab monkies.

I'm betting this one gets loose.

    Pleasant dreams.

From what I understand about this particular strain of this virus, it kills younger folks much quicker because it makes the healthy bodies react quickly and very aggressively. Pneumonia is the main killer with this one. nice.

This reminds me...I'd better hook up a computer in my basement real soon...along with a fridge, sofa, plenty of canned food, etc.
