I think the point that is trying to presented here is this.

As musician Eddie doesn't want to do the same old song and dance. He wants to challenge himself and enjoy what he is doing (which is his right as it is with all of us).

I would love to see Mikey involved in this upcoming tour and anything/everything that may be in the future but...

If having Wolfgang play with the band is something that gets Ed fired up and puts a smile on his face and inspires him, then I'm all for it. I gave Sammy the chance when he helped save VH. I gave Gary the chance when he was brought on board and now I'm going to give Wolfie the chance to shut up all the naysayers.

As long as VH exists in one form or another I'm in and always will be.

I dont see anything new and challenging about a back to the future tour to hawk this new Charvel relic. I watched the video and felt that it was nothing more than a Charvel infomercial. I couldn't help but think that this tour would be nothing more. Look at the new guitar, hear the new guitar...You can have one too this time around. For only 25 THOUSAND dollars....What you say a new bass player? Oh sure playing all the old songs on a guitar that is a replica of Eds first from 1972. If thats not the same old song and dance.

If it was something new that's on the way, I'd be open to it. But come on. A 3/4th reunion tour, no new music? How in the hell does that represent a new challenge? It's the same old song and dance.

Keep in mind that Ed said all this (I think) around the time Gary came into the band.

That's what I was trying to point out anyway. Sorry for the confusion .

Besides, on some level it makes perfect sense for Ed to see how things go with Dave before commiting to new music with him on the mic. Doesn't anyone remember the Best of Vol. I fiasco?

they'll never be able to work together on a regular basis. i don't get why everybody doesn't get that. that won't do it with sam either. these guys really dislike each other, that's evident.

    It's not a reunion.

To somes of you maybe, that's what they're hopin.

Almost forgot: Most guitarists pluck a string. Edward plays his guitar like a keyboard.

Ed's lost credibility with a lot of diehard fans. He's a passionate and impulsive guy who very much lives in the moment, and he talks big about it while it's going on. He's made a lot of amazing stuff in his career, and he's made some bad calls. Since there's been minimal credible stuff happen with him in the last ten years, we are by default quite cynical about anything new we hear about--especially when that involves major change with the band. So we'll file all this Wolfgang on bass and '07 tour stuff under "We'll See."

    No we won't.

We'll argue that it sucks donkey balls until we hear differently ! And even if it doesn't....we'll still say it does, just to avoid being labeled a flip-flopper !
