    Default Enjoy the band

How fast has the last 20 years flown by? I used to get worked up about this band just as much as anybody on here...now I just enjoy them...because...realistic statement next: Sammy and Ed will probably be dead inside of 20 years so...enjoy the music and relish the good, stupid, crazy and unforgettable things you did while CVH played inside your head...Me, I still love and enjoy them as much as the first time I heard Unchained...Peace

Are you sure, I came up with 2,124.

Anyway, I've always prefered Deep Thoughts by Jack Handey.

5th grade! The Challenger disaster was that January, and Chernobyl was in April.

I was in 6th grade when "Diver Down" (my first VH album) ,8th grade when "1984" came out, 10th grade when "5150" came out, and a senior in high school when "OU812" came out.

    Those were the days.

    You're old?? Whattabout me? Jeez!

btw - I loved Deep Thoughts.................

So in twenty years both Sammy and Edward will be pushin up daisies? That's a cheerful thought. A little too much reality tho.

I started high school in 1989 and graduated in 1993. When I went in, Poison and Def Leppard were multi-platinum bands, and there were still a few late-signed Sunset Strip new bands showing up. Tight pants, hockey hair, and bangs were the trends. When I left, Nirvana and Pearl Jam were the top-sellers, alternative radio stations were popping up all over the place, and the word "grunge" was regularly heard. Baggy pants, shabby hair, and flannel shirts were the thing.

I didn't understand much of the cultural metamorphosis at the time, but in hindsight it was a very cool thing to witness as a teenager.

oh yeah.. the flannel. I remember going to Lollapalooza (94, I think, the Pumpkins were headliners). Anyway, I was cracking up at the kids wearing Flannel shirts, or had them around their waist. It was August in the midwest, and the temperature was at least 90+.
Don't drink the Jim Jones punch. They're called theToxic Twins for a reason...
