ANY band worth their salt wouldn't even attempt a VH tune unless they were supremely confident they could do it justice, especially with the band in attendance.....I think alot of quality bands would be intimidated !

That being said.....If they didn't like the rendition, maybe they'd realize that they should've done it themselves !

Weezer wouldn't be a terrible choice.

The best idea might be a supergroup of guys influenced by them, certainly wouldn't be hard to put together.
