Michael Anthony in a Gumby Costume

The tour was 5150, the venue was the Forum in LA. Does anyone remember Mikey coming out on stage during a song in a Gumby costume to the delight and suprise of Ed? That was some funny S*#!.

If memory serves me correctly, I believe that he took the costume from a fan that was wearing it in the audience. The "I just want to party and have a good time" attitude of the band made it great to be a VH fan during that time.

I remember that!!! The guy in the Gumby suit was walking around the concourse before VH went on...great memory! They all lost their shit when Mikey came onstage.

Hi Joe,
I talked to Mike about it today and he remembers it well. He remembers seeing a guy walking around wearing it and thought to himself that he just had to wear that costume on stage. He came out during Ed’s solo and the band got a kick out of it. He said it was good for some comic relief. [img]smile.gif[/img] He also remembers wearing a big fish head during another show on the tour. He doesn’t remember if he has a pic of him with the gumby suit on or not but he’ll check it out after he gets off the road. If he finds one and it’s a good shot, we’ll put it on the site.
