Default Name an artist who is still respectable and credible musically

Over the years many bands have released compilation after f'n compilation and which many of us waste our money on. If I had to choose one artist who has remained incredibly involved musically it would be Alice Cooper hands down. In terms of releases, look at his resume

    Original Group
    Pretties For You (1969)
    Easy Action (1970)
    Love it to Death (1971)
    Killer (1971)
    School's Out (1972)
    Billion Dollar Babies (1973)
    Muscle of Love (1974)
    Greatest Hits (1975)

    Solo
    Welcome to my Nightmare (1975)
    Goes To Hell (1976)
    Lace and Whiskey (1977)
The Alice Cooper Show (live album, 1977)
    Stint in rehab
    From The Inside (1979)
    Flush the Fashion (1980)
    Special Forces (1981)
    Zipper Catches Skin (1982)
    DaDa(1983)
    Stint in rehab
    Constrictor (1986)
Raise Your Fist and Yell (1987)
    Trash (1989)
    Hey Stoopid (1991)
    The Last Temptation (1994)
Classicks (greatest hits with live tracks) (1995)
A Fistful of Alice (live @ the Cabo Wabo, 1997)
The Life and Crimes of Alice Cooper (4 disc boxset, 1999)
    Brutal Planet (2000)
    Dragontown (2001)
The Eyes of Alice Cooper (2003)
    Dirty Diamonds (2005)
    Currently working on new album

Okay, so the boxset has loads of unreleased stuff and all the hits are the single versions. There's lots of incomplete demos too. Alice has had streaks of commerical success over the last ten years, but despite low or mediocore sales he keeps making new music and touring all over the globe. Every home video he ever released has since been remastered and rereleased in 5.1 digital sound. Anybody else you guys want to mention that just keeps doing it for the love of it?

I know they're probably not very popular with most here, but U2 has been putting out new relevant material consistently for 25 years.

This was the first band that came to mind. These guys are still extremely popular after all these years. Their music speaks for itself.

The only wrong move they made IMHO was to include a copy of Back In Black in the Bonfire box set. Like most AC/DC fans, I obviously already had a copy & as great as that disc is, I didn't need another one. They should have included some more old b-sides & Australian album tracks that are no longer available such as "Carry Me Home", "Love Song" & "Cold Hearted Man"...
“And what we have at our fingertips is arguably one of the greatest high tenor voices ever – that was in Michael Anthony. In our tiny little corner of the universe, that voice is as identifiable as the high voice in Earth, Wind & Fire, as identifiable as the high voice in the Beach Boys. Van Halen is an indelicate house blend of both – that’s intentionally. So I would always look forward to that reunion.” - David Lee Roth
