Sammy Won't Tour in '07 as Originally Announced

Guess that double-bill with Montrose has been put on hold, for the time being. Whether that has to do with insider knowledge of competing against a Van Halen IV tour or prepping for the big 60th birthday tour/album, or both, who can know. Still, I'm kinda hoping this 'Chickenfoot' side project with Mike and Chad goes into the studio as mentioned.

The Wabo’s are going to take most of this year off except for the cruise, March 16 show in Cabo and The Tahoe Wabo’s 3rd Anniversary Shows on May 4, 5, & 6 and my birthday bash Oct. 6,8,9,12 & 13. There may be a show here or there. I want to write some new songs, redesign my stage and gear up for the big 60 which will tentatively be the beginning of 08 and all thru the summer.

If I know Sammy... and I don't... It sounds to me like he wants to do something with Mike. I hope the The Other 2/3 tour this year with Roth and Wolfie get Sam and Mike motivated to put out some great new songs and a great tour.

Oh you must be overlooking the hidden subliminal messages inside what Sammy is saying. "Excited about the RRHOF" actually means "I've reunited with Ed and Al, and Mike and Dave will be playing too. We're going to release a box set with an entire albums worth of new material. Then were going to tour for two years non stop."
