Gonna see it tonite. This movie will rock, guaranteed, becoz of 2 verified laws of movie making:

Law #1: Any movie with Will Ferrell and Jon Heder has to rock.

Law #2: Any movie using the Scorpions' "Rock You Like a Hurricane" in its soundtrack kicks some monumental bootie!!

I saw the sneak preview last week. If you like the trailer, you'll like the movie. I knew going into it what i was going to get: silly, rude, humor, fart and cock jokes. My wife, while entertained, for at least the first half hour, was less amused and wishes Will Ferrell would expand his repertoire. I loved it and laughed so hard a few times I had tears and side cramps. In one of the opening scenes, Chaz Michael Michaels does his routine to Billy Squire's "Stroke". Wait to you see Jenna Fischer (Pam Beasley from the Office)...yowza!!!!

He does a little serious acting in "Stranger Than Fiction" ,but not much....lol..

And yes, I think there's a thread about that chic.....

I love Will Ferrell, have everything he's ever done. His SNL shit is as epic as anything Murphy, Belushi, or Ackroyd has ever done.

This type of stuff is what he does best....even his cameo's can make a movie (Wedding Crashers, Superstar). He should stick to this stuff, I'd be disappointed if he tried to go serious....I didn't like when Jim Carey tried it.

I agree, everytime great comic actors try to expand, it usually sucks.
example, eddie murphy should have stuck with what he did good.

Best of Will SNL was on the other night, laughed till I peed.
I wasnt a huge fan of his early movies, but elf is one of my all time favorite movies... and I cant even say Ricky Bobby without chuckling.

OMG! Loved it! And the Stroke was a classic...... still laughing just thinking about it. The whole theater was cracking up. Heard some.... "OMG that is all kindsa wrong!" more than a few times from groups of guys. Worth seeing I thought!

I went and saw it with liz the other night and I think I enjoyed it more than she did. Still a very funny movie and I dam near pissed myself when Will and John do their pairs skating for the first time.
