    I am really starting to get a kick out of all the "Dave's lost it posts"...Listen people Dave has never been some opera singer converted to rock vocalist. He has his own unique style of chops as well as range. Its Rock_n_Roll period!! He and Eddie have a chemistry that just works. Is Dave ever going to be accompanied by some symphony? No. But who the hell cares?? The guy has written and sang some of the most kick you in the ass tunes of all time!! In my opinion with Dave its always been attitude and I believe he will never lose that!! The guy is Rock _n_Roll personified!! Put on "Runnin with the Devil" now if that aint the freeking coolest Rock vocal of all time then what the fuck is? To Eddie...and... all the none believers just let Dave be Dave,and who knows maybe Rock will be mainstream again!!!I mean my God if 'N sync are considered to be great vocalists what the hell happened??

    Dave's voice is part of what set him apart from the pack. The other part is just how he "is." We can talk all day about whether or not he's still got it. He's not always on. Now, that's normal for everyone. The thing about Dave is that he's not always on when he's in the studio. Hopefully he'll have it going this time around. Match that with some inspired music and lyrics, and by god you've got an album!

    I think that (vocal nodes aside) singers voices don't lose MUCH of their capacity with age - maybe a slight reduction in range. Certainly opera singers who really use their voices a lot still sing well in later years. Dave has a great timbre to his voice. A bit husky -- very easy to listen to.
