The Unofficial Un-list
They used to have an unreleased song list on the VH site but I thought it was half assed, I knew a ton of other songs that werent' on there so I figured this might be fun. Just name any unreleased song you know about and what you know about it, could be a studio left over-like Voodoo Queen or I want some Action-or it could be a song they did in concert-like Heartbreak Hotel or Young Man Blues. If it's a live show, try to list the date and maybe a little crituque of the song.

alright, I'll start with a couple of tunes that I've not seen mentioned before:
Suzie Q-The band played this during the 2nd show at the Palace of Auburn Hills on the FUCK tour. Sammy changed the lyrics from "Suzie Q, baby I love you" to "baby doll, baby I love you" during the 2nd run through of that part of the song, I don't know if he was singing to his 1st wife Betsy or his 2nd wife Kari at that point in time. I know he was still married to Betsy I just don't remember when he met Kari.
Rock N Roll-this is a little different than the version on LWAN, this is from the 2nd night of the MOR tour and Ted Nugent plays on it...lots of energy, I have an MP3 of this and I think it's availible over on Guitars 101.

They used to do a Robert Palmer song, I think it was "Addicted To Love" in the middle of "Cabo Wabo". I saw an interview where the band was talking about it, but I've never heard it.

One of the San Fran shows from FUCK they play Born on the Bayou.
At the Evansville FUCK show, they played Rock and Roll with Dweezel (sp) Zappa and Baby Animals (it was somebody's birthday and Dweez was seeing the chick that sang for Baby Animals).
That's all I got off the top of my head.

If you ever get a chance to get the video bootleg of the 2nd Cabo Wabo anniversary show, there are some jems on that, it's the last time the band played there and for the most part it's a typicla VH FUCK era show until the end.
during YRGM, they go into Satisfaction by the stones then Mississipi Queen and then a whole bunch of Zepplin songs, the ocean, Communication Breakdown and one I can't remember right now. I say the video version cause at one point between songs you can see Sam and Mike standing together looking at Ed and they have NO IDEA what he's gonna play next, it looks like it was totally spontaneous and it's awsome.
the other one that's pretty cool is the actual bootleg of the last date fromt he RHRN tour, not the "Rockin My Hometown" bootleg but I've got an audio taped version that's waaaay better. Mike plays "Purple Haze" during his solo, sammy sings Amnesty is granted during his solo spot which was a brand new song at the time and during Ed's solo the band goes into Young Man Blues and this is totally awsome-it's edited out of the Rockin my hometown bootleg- plus it has probably the best version of Rockin in the Free World on it I've heard....
more later...

I really dug their cover of Superstition from the club days. Beer Drinkers and Hell Raisers was pretty cool, as well.
Don't drink the Jim Jones punch. They're called theToxic Twins for a reason...

Just found this thread..amazing!
Funny how DLR's return is causing me to really dive in to everything CVH again!!
I have lots of boots, etc, but an awful lot of them arent greta sound quality. Is there anywhere or way to get all of these on the list?
And one more thing, I am diggin the Un-radio!!
