Nascar would've been the better route, I think. Way more exposure in the US, and we all know that alcohol and rednecks go hand in hand. (Not a slam, I watch Nascar religiously; just don't own a gun rack.)

I would of thought NASCAR would make more sense in the US. I watch NASCAR some if I'm watching TV on a Sunday afternoon but Indy cars may give him a little more international coverage. There are plenty of wealthy NASCAR fans but the $75 Tequilla market may also be a better fit for Indy fans as a whole.

While NASCAR would get him more exposure, I'm not sure it would be the right target market. I think (maybe I'm wrong) that NASCAR fans are more of the Budweiser crowd than the IRL fans. I don't mean that as a slam. They're just different people with different tastes.

Perhaps, but I think the stereotype of the NASCAR fan is slooowly changing, kind of like the Harley stereotype (now starting to age with more disposable $$).

either way it'll likely translate into more cash for the Hagar coffers...he's not stupid...and he's having fun...wouldn't we all like to say we own a nice piece of something we enjoy?
