Default VH 1 CLASSIC ALBUMS-tv show, what would they do for Van Halen?

Just watched Pink FLoyds classic album. Great show what a band and album Dark Side of the Moon. When they do it for VH if ever, what album will they do? I think it would have to be Van Halen I or 1984 the beginning, Eruption. And the album that crossed them over and gave them there only #1 hit, ed on synths etc. Maybe 5150, but I can't see any others. ou812, FUCK, Balance? Just don't see those albums stacking up against Back in Black, Joshua Tree etc.

IMO, I think they should do one on their debut album. That was the one that really woke up the music world.

They should either do the show on Van Halen 1 or Fair Warning. Even though Far Warning wasn't a huge commercial success, it stands as one of the greates guitar albums ever written...

    I'd have to say 1.

I know a lot of us like FW, but most people out there know jack shit about it and that doesn't make for a classic album in the mainstream.

Does VH 1 actually produce new music related stuff? Everything I see on there is this celebrity BS that I couldn't care less about.

The only time they have music is on their occasional top 100 shows and at 4AM in the morning.

Van Halen would be the perfect choice for a behind the music, but they don't even do those anymore.

Cactus I agree: Sometimes, it's better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and relieve all doubt/The album's lead single, "Jump", featured a bouncy synthesizer hook and anthemic lyrics by Roth. "Jump" became the band's first and only #1 pop hit and resulted in the band's first Grammy nomination. A release is an album which they have had had many, a hit is in industry terms a single onthe charts.

the obvious choice is 1984, but the band will never agree to it....can you see it...DLR: "this is the song that took us forever cause Eddie wouldn't leave his bedroom."
Eddie: "right after we layed down House of Pain Diamond left to make the deal for his solo career"

    Too much infighting/

Fair Warning would be cool, but that would never happen either...flew under the radar of the mainstream.

Van Halen or Van Halen II would also be pretty cool to see.
    "Always hopeful, yet discontent,
    He knows changes aren't permanent
    But change is!"

I used to wonder why he was grinning all the time(Michael Ian Black talkin about EVH on VH1 I love the 80's) but then i realized the reason he's grinning is because he's Eddie F*#king Van Halen

They wouldnt do any of this.
The fans might get some joy out of something like this.
They would have to pick 1984 though. it would be great to see how it was made and what they did.. Not VH though.. Who in he band would take time out of their day to sit down and do a show like this.
Their Ego s are all to big... Mikey would be the guy but Eddie would shoot him down.
