My Wall of Fame

Well my wife and I bought our first home last June, and it's taken me 6 months of renovations to finally get my office finished. Anyway, I hung a bunch of my guitars on my wall with some VH stuff, thought it came out pretty cool. I was actually going to stripe the wall, which is why I had the painters make it white, the other walls are red. But I decided against it, thought it would be a little weird, and it actually turned out looking much nicer this way anyway.

So check out it out, see what you think.

I have all my Kramers (minus that purple one on the wall) on my one stand, I couldn't fit 10 guitars on my wall, I wish I could have. I still have some other VH knick knacks to throw up on the wall.

The String Swings are pretty convenient, eh? The "art" throughout my apartment walls is guitars--always easy to change!

You've got a pink EVH EBMM, Brett. Those are rare.

Yeah well I pretty much have to keep the guitar stuff to my office, my wife laid down the law on that one.

I used to actually that FW poster on the left (which is signed by Dave, Ed, Al and, Mike you just can't see) hanging in our living room at our old place. That's all over with now.

String Swings are great, screwed 'em into the studs...boom. I don't trust drywall anchors.

Yeah that Pink EBMM I got at Guitar Center in 1991, for $1,050. I've played the hell out of it, so it's not mint. I stopped using it in 1999, but it was my main axe for everything for a long time. It hadn't been out of its case in nearly 5 years, so it was cool to hang it up.

It was either a pink one or the amber (which I bought a few years later obviously), and at the time I just didn't want the same color guitar Ed was playing, so I bought the pink one.

Sweet room! I too, have had to consolidate all my axes to one room of our house. That's okay, cause it is my room to do pretty much whatever. Thanks for the pic.

The String Swings are great, I have a wall full (see below). Those anchors that come with them are pretty strong, so mine are not in studs, and I have had no problems at all with many of them being up for 4-5 years.

Good lord! I thought I had a lot of guitars, with six. You guys are killing me! I'll just have to buy more then...

The good news is that my fiance is also the singer in my band, so I can hang my guitars anywhere I want in the house and she doesn't give me any crap about buying more of them.

Yes, guitars rule! More isn't necessarily better, but more is indeed fun!

FYI: I've been profiling my Wolfgangs on my website, one at a time. (My girlfriend called my doing so "nerdy," which I have a hard time arguing against.) I'm up to the fifth one thus far: http://www.andrewthomas.net. There are 18 in all, so it will be a slow process.

I saw the Black Crowes headline Aquafest or whatever that big outdoor music festival you have downtown is called. Great show and great memories of Minneapolis!
