    Default New EVH Replica Price

Just finished reading the new EVH interview in GW. I hit it on the spot with my price prediction for this guitar. MSRP $25,000-30,000. They did do a great job with it though.

im pretty sure theres gonna be a non replica full production guitar for the masses, from what i've read theres rumors of "a new wolfgang", i just hope its priced within the range of us mere mortals like the original wolf was, and i hope that fender to a better job with it than what they currently have in their catalogue

Just like the Clapton Blackie Replica.

I can't fathom how anyone would pay that much for a replica of what I think is a shitty looking guitar. Maybe investment? I wonder how much the original would fetch if it was for sale.

Another Supposed magazine reader that hasn't read the magazine. Prove it. What's in the interview?

I haven't read the GW interview but, trust me- the price WILL be $25,000 and up to 300 may be made.
Can you say "disposable income" for "investment purposes" only?

Well, I bought two copies of the mag Saturday at Barnes and Noble.

Second paragraph of the Repro Man section of the article:

"Only 300 replicas will be made, and the guitar will have a MSRP in the range of $25,000-$30,000."

When you get your copy and read the article you'll see for yourself.

There's also a full page ad for the guitar in the mag with the new website for EVH gear listed. The website has nothing on it yet though. www.evhgear.com/gw

The DVD interview is very cool. Ed gives a good interview but doesn't play the guitar amped. He noodles a little unamped toward the end. It would have been nice to hear him play the 'real thing' and the replica amped, but no such luck.

In regards to the 'modded Marshall' Ed says this:

"All I did was turn every knob all the way up, plug in and play. That was the only way I could get the sound I wanted from that amp. In a funny way I feel a bit guilty about telling people about Jose's mods because I lied, but a lot of people dug them."

Barnes and Noble usually puts mags out before even subscriptions sometimes. Why? I don't know. They seem to have the new Vintage Guitar mags out before I get my subscribed to issue.
Perhaps if you spent more time in a bookstore instead of up your ass, you'd know these things and have your copy of the magazine.

Sorry man, my bad. I just expected some BIG news from the band. Guess I should know better than to do that ever. And there was NO reason for the stupid remark at the end. For your info, I spend a lot of time in bookstores buying actual BOOKS. I should have explained that I'd read a boatload of threads from people claiming to have had the magazine. That, in conjunction with the death of my father a week ago; I'm a little on edge. I'll remove my head from my ass now.

And I'll remove my head from my ass too. Sorry for my uncalled for and rude comment. I went back a little later to edit it, but it wouldn't let me. I had just spent 30 minutes cleaning up glass after dropping my tea cup on top of my crock pot that I had fixed with a wonder porkloin for dinner. NOT a good way to start the day. Sorry I took it out on you.

The article is pretty good. Back to the things I used to love about EVH interviews. Gear talk. He does say a little about Wolfgang having a natural feel for the bass and that he didn't show him how to play it. That's pretty much it about the band thing other than talking about going out on tour in 2007. Most of the article/interview is about the Frankie Replica. As well as the video interview.

    Sorry about my earlier vent.

And I'm very sorry to hear about the death of your father last week. I lost my father in Sept, so I can completely understand.

Thank you so much. I never would've thought that a week could be so long, but this one seems like 6 months. I've never relied on friends and family so much. People really show their true colors. It's a very humbling and beautiful thing.

And thanks for the info again. Nothing really new but I guess "no news is good news"
