UK finally paid off the Yanks!
Well on the 1st January 2007 the United Kingdom made its final World War Two war-debt payment to America! We are WW2 debt free Brit linkers!
America demanded the first payment on Victory in Japan day, September 2nd 1945. Geeez, woulda thought you Yanks woulda given us a chance to celebrate before callin in the debts!
Just thought that was in an interesting fact for you all.'The whole world is watching you tonight!'

I would have thought so. Otherwise I cant imagine repayment would have been completed in any of our lifetimes.
