I think he's over-rated. Wasn't bad when he was younger but he is way over the hill in my opinion.

Plus he doesn't know how to keep his damn head up!

He would have been twice the player if he had stayed concussion and injury free. I still remember when he held out on the Quebec Nordiques and shortly after signed with the Flyer's.

As a big Flyer fan, my memories of 88 are mostly good. But, he did not just sign with the Flyers...they gave up a lot for his rights (Forsberg, Ricci, Hexy, others...millions of dollars).

I dont want to play for Quebec. wah- Sakic stayed with Quebec/Colorado and won a cup. So screw you Lindros.
His father is his agent which makes everything even more complicated.
A member of the crazy 8's line does decent, but then he hooks up with the greatest american born power forward in the game John Leclair and is a member of the legion of doom line. Is a force to be reckoned with before Scott Stevens destroys his career.

They are nothing better than a 500 team right now. They rely to much on Jagr and Shanny. Shanny is having an incredible year.
I am not expecting much from them. I see them finishing somewhere around 8-10 seed in the east.

He should have been suspended for life for refusing to play for Quebec. Nobody has the right to chose where they play. He's a disgrace to hockey and was never as good as he was supposed to be.

Yeah and the Rangers offered Alexei Kovalev, Doug Weight, a few other players and many more millions.

We have an NHL thread, so I'm gonna close this up. You can talk Lindros in the NHL thread if you wish. In fact we did just that a few weeks back.

I will say this before I close this up. Eric Lindros is not overrated. He is what he is at this point in his career. In fact he was never overrated, if anything his GM's were overrated, having never been able to build a proper team around him.

What Eric did for the NHL in the early-mid 90's hasn't been matched yet. He took that sport to a higher level, and not the joke that it is today. Atleast back then people cared about hockey, and the paid money to see #88 wherever he played.

Anywho, closing this up.
