Merry Christmas, everyone here at VH Forums! And here's a little Christmas Story...

...with the children asleep upstairs, Eddie and Valerie are busy sneaking presents back and forth. Up in the bedroom, little Wolfie lies wide awake--when he hears a thump! "That must be Santa!" he says aloud. "I think he's saying something..."

Downstairs, Eddie was saying something allright. "Slippin-rippin-darg-farg-rotten-zarg-barg-a-dingdong!" he was clutching his foot. Valerie rushed in. "What is it, Eddie?" she asked. "I dropped his present, that new tower amp on my toe!"

Suddenly, a loud "ho ho, baaaaaaaaaaaabay" came from the chimney and in dropped Sammy Hagar dressed as Santa! "Merry Christmas, Eddie!" Sammy said. "Don't be squirtin' that eggnog at me, or I'll #%@#$ your girlfriend!" said David Lee Roth walking in, eyeing Valerie. "On second thought..." he began, but at Ed's glare shut up.

SMASH!

Eddie looked over at one of the fragile Christmas presents to see Alex sitting over the remains with drumsticks. "Damnit, these don't work," Alex remarked.
"HEY!" Eddie began when a bass line shook the whole house. Eddie turned to see Mike had unwrapped the tower amp and was plucking on his Bass!
"MIKE--" Eddie began.
"Daddy?" Little Wolfgang asked, entering the room.
All activity in the room ceased.
"What's all the noise?" Wolfie asked.
Gary walked in and Eddie smacked his forehead, this was out of hand.
"It's pretty simple, kiddo," said Gary. "Santa had a pretty big run on top, and decided that this year instead of having just any old Christmas, he was gonna have Christmas III--and make your parents do most of the work. Santa left the presents in a big pile, not even tested, so your Dad and these guys are fixing it all and organizing it, making sure they're all good."
Wolfgang smiled, satisfied with the explanation. "Thanks!" he said and ran off.
Everyone breathed a collective sigh of relief, and after a few remedies to damaged and unwrapped presents, Christmas went off without a hitch.

Some of you may find this humorous, others may not. Some of you may like it, and others may not--if that's the case...let's keep it a secret, eh? [img]tongue.gif[/img]

Merry Christmas, my friend. Next year, we'll all be celebrating a New Year having just enjoyed a good year with our friends Van Halen having just completed a great Reunion (with another album to follow soon).

Thanks for the good feedback, guys. Yeah, Van Halen's gotta say or do SOMEthing this year, and for all of you who've waited so long for word, you certainly deserve it. With Ed recovering from Cancer and hopefully back on track, 2002 should be the year! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all you good folks here at VH Forums!
