Just seen this on Sams site...He does list Mike as part of the band..So i do wonder if he makes another cd Mike may be onit...Just a little tid bit for ya..

He's been on the site since before The Other Half tour this (almost last) year. That's merely Sam acknowledging Mike as being part of the party.

Sam's touring with Montrose next year. I don't think the Other Half is in the cards for his '07 tour. He may be doing a Montrose/Wabo co-bill, though.

I hope he lets his buddy Mike join in the fun so he can celebrate the HOF induction year somehow.
Maybe in a strange twist of event, Montrose will fire their bassist and hire Mike.

Has this been officially confirmed? I haven't seen him with the old Montrose boys...would be great...Bill "Electric" Church!

This is cool news. I always thought Sam and Ronnie had some kind of long running grudge between them.... guess not.

There is a interview with sammy at or towards the end of this last tour where
he says that a tour with both Montrose and the Wabos will probably happen in
2007.

Montrose will play first on a stage roughly the size of the one's they played on
"back in the day". The stage for the Wabos will be covered up while they play.

On a side note: do you guys think the "cantina stage"( though fan friendly)
has run it's course?

I think the Cantina stage has lost it's original appeal since it was first introduced. I remember the first time I saw it (out of 4 separate tours), thinking it was cool but much smaller then Sam described it in a radio interview.

It would be nice to see a new stage, but the Cantina is part of Sammy's mythos now, so it will probably always be part of the show.

It would make more sense if it were a split Montrose/Wabos show, with Montrose opening. At this point I would think Sam is much bigger as a solo act than a Montrose reunion would be.

I think the Cantina stage needs a change up...it is a real cool way for the fans to connect with Sam, but it is getting a bit tired...although, i've been onstage and would do it again! Maybe it can stay with some new twist...
