Damn, Wolfgang '99... I was gonna make fun of this guy for being so vague, but you probably guessed right!
If it's not "Yankee Rose," it could be something with a talkbox.

I used to wonder why he was grinning all the time(Michael Ian Black talkin about EVH on VH1 I love the 80's) but then i realized the reason he's grinning is because he's Eddie F*#king Van Halen

Or it could be any one of a dozen or so songs featuring the "talk box". You know, the old horn driver stuffed in a wine bag thing that Peter Frampton stole from Jeff Beck.
Like on Frampton's "Show Me The Way" or the solo section of "Rocky Mountain Way" by Joe Walsh.
Or for a more obscure reference, how about "Mind Bender" by Stillwater?
While browsing through a pawnshop
I saw this old guitar
its keys were bent and rusted
its body scratched and scared
holy moses!
would you believe that guitar began to talk
I started thinkin
I wasn't stoned nor drinkin
when I heard that talkin guitar say
My daddy was a Gibson
my mother was a Fender
That's why they call me
Mindbender
Mindbender
that's my name
You better believe it
it was a mind bending thing
I said now listen guitar
what you tryin to do
people will think i'm crazy
if they see me talkin to you
I said you'd better hold your tongue
it started I was thinkin
I wasn't stoned nor drinkin
when I swear I heard that guitar say
My daddy was a Gibson
my mother was a Fender
that's why they call me
Minderbender
Mindbender
that's my name, my name
you'd better believe it brother
it was a mind bending thing
Oh no
Oh no
Oh no
Oh no

Not sure if it's VH or not? That's hard enough to comprehend, but that's a different debate. I'd say the song is Yankee Rose though. Close to VH but no cigar.
"Your right little girl. If women ruled the world there wouldn't be any more war; all the countries would just nag each other to death"
Archie Bunker
"Any man who wouldn't cheat for a poke, don't want one bad enough"
Captain Augustus McCrae in "Lonesome Dove"
"He has erected a Multitude of new Offices, and sent hither Swarms of Officers to harrass our People, and eat out their Substance." - The Declaration of Independence
